Stephen Parkes is a former officer with the 75th Ranger regiment, a law school graduate and father of three daughters. He was certified by the State of Florida in 2007 as a habitual violent felony offender … one too many armed robberies. His is a rare case. Stephen is one of very few individuals to survive a long-drop hanging (in his case more than eight feet). His case gets rarer still. Since 1650 less than a handful of individuals, all convicted of grave crimes, hanged for their crimes but wouldn’t stay dead or couldn’t be killed. All of them were freed. Stephen is one of them. His four-book series, The Hanged Man, is a true story of crime, punishment and grace.
