Anthony Arnold has been writing since the third grade and also published My People, Our Trials and Tribulations in 2012. His love and attitude to keep hope alive in the community has given him a direct approach in his writing concerning black history and the betterment of our people.
Anthony is a humble man who uses poetry to express what he knows, believes and passionately feels about culture and history. As a retired US Air Force veteran, Anthony has come to know that it is his duty to hope, pray and be an example of the change he wants to see in the future of his people.
Anthony hopes through his writing he is able to educate others about the historical significance of the challenges African-Americans face, as well as the contributions of African-Americans throughout history; including those events which are very rarely discussed or taught in public schools, such as African-American roles in the Civil War. He hopes to shed more light on the strength of black people throughout history.
